Hariyali Teej: A Step Towards a Greener State
More than 1 crore trees were planted in the state on the occasion of Hariyali Teej, showcasing the state government’s commitment to environmental conservation.
Amrita Devi Vishnoi Smriti Awards
The Chief Minister distributed the Amrita Devi Vishnoi Smriti Awards to honor individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to environmental preservation.
Matri Van Initiative
The government has announced the establishment of 'Matri Van' in every district, modeled after the Smriti Van. This initiative encourages public participation in afforestation efforts.
- Plant Species: Banyan, Peepal, Gular, Pilkhan, Neti Peepal, Makhan Katori, and more will be planted.
Tree Lover Certificates
The state government will distribute 51 lakh Tree Lover Certificates via the 'Raj Jio Tree App', promoting awareness and involvement in plantation drives.
Van Mitras Appointment
2,000 Van Mitras (forest friends) are being appointed to care for the plants. Retired employees willing to contribute will take responsibility as guardians of the plantations.
State Government Decisions
The state government has introduced several public welfare decisions, including:
- Increase in Kisan Samman Nidhi.
- Expansion of Social Security Pension.
- Gas cylinders at Rs 450.
- Increased honorarium for Anganwadi workers.
- Formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for paper leak cases.
These initiatives aim to strengthen the community and improve the quality of life for the citizens.
