India and UNESCO to host the 2024 edition of CSAR on September 6 in Paris.

Chief Science Advisors Roundtable (CSAR) 2024 Date and Venue: 6 September 2024, Paris, France. Organisers: Government of India (Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser) and UNESCO (Natural Sciences Sector). Co-Chairs: Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India: Professor Ajay Kumar Sood. Assistant Director-General (ADG – Natural Sciences) of UNESCO: Dr. Lydia Brito.

Objective: “Promoting open science, reducing knowledge asymmetries, and building science advice capacity”. Participants: Delegations from 28 countries. 6 international organisations. Background: CSAR was conceived during India’s Presidency of G20 2023. Launched as a Sherpa-track initiative.
