Overview:
The Yudh Abhyas exercise is an annual joint military exercise held between India and the United States. It was first initiated in 2004 with the objective of promoting cooperation, enhancing training, and building joint operational capabilities between the two forces.
Yudh Abhyas 2024:
- Edition: 20th edition.
- Location: Mahajan Field Firing Range, Rajasthan.
- Objective: To enhance interoperability and operational capabilities between the Indian and US armies.
- Focus: Advanced military tactics, coordinated maneuvers, and operational integration.
- Participants: Large US contingent including 600 personnel, Stryker vehicles, and M142 HIMARS.
