Digital Agriculture Mission
Objective:
Enhance digital agriculture with DPI, DGCES, and IT initiatives.
Major Components:
AgriStack:
- Farmers’ Registry: Digital ID (‘Farmer ID’) linking land records, livestock, crops, and benefits.
- Crop Sown Registry: Records crop details via mobile-based ground surveys.
- Geo-referenced Village Maps: Links land records with physical locations.
Krishi Decision Support System (DSS):
- Integrates geospatial data on crops, soil, weather, and water.
- Supports crop mapping, drought/flood monitoring, and yield assessment for crop insurance.
Soil Profile Maps:
- Scale: 1:10,000
- Coverage: Planned for 142 million hectares; 29 million hectares completed.
Pilot Projects:
- Implemented in Farrukhabad (UP), Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Beed (Maharashtra), Yamuna Nagar (Haryana), Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu).
