• Initiative: Initiative to provide ICT labs and smart classrooms in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and hostels.
• Goal: To digitally empower the girl child, enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Cost estimate: Around Rs 290 crore.
• Beneficiaries: Around 7 lakh girls, who are from disadvantaged groups (SC, ST, OBC, minorities, and below poverty line).
• KGBVs: Residential schools from class VI to XII, which take up the issue of access to education in backward areas.
• Implementation: 5116 KGBVs are active in 30

• Reach: Operating in 30 States/UTs, benefiting around 7 lakh girls.
• Impact: Improved female literacy, reduced dropout rates, promoted girls’ empowerment.
