India to host the 46th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee.

46th Meeting of the World Heritage Committee India will host the 46th meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee from July 21-31, 2024. The meeting was held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Over 2500 delegates from 195 countries are expected to attend.

Recommendation for inclusion of Ahom Moidam as World Heritage Site 36 nominations were received for inclusion in the World Heritage List, of which 1 is Indian (Ahom Moidam). Ahom Moidam is the resting place of the royal families in Charaideo district of Assam. India currently has 42 World Heritage Sites.
