Amendment in the provisions of Renewable Energy Policy, 2023
- The amendment proposals related to the Renewable Energy Policy were approved in the State Cabinet meeting held on July 2, 2024 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
- The provisions of Renewable Energy Policy, 2023 and Rajasthan Land Revenue Rules, 2007 were amended.
- These amendments will pave the way for new investment of ₹ 2 lakh crore in the state.
- The land allotment rules for solar powerÂ

projects were changed to allow land allotment at 7.5% of the DLC rate.
- The allotment rules have been made relevant for proper use of solar radiation.
- Now 1 MW of solar energy can be generated on 2 hectares of land.
