Amendment in the provisions of Renewable Energy Policy, 2023
Amendment Proposals
The amendment proposals related to the Renewable Energy Policy were approved in the State Cabinet meeting held on July 2, 2024 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
The provisions of Renewable Energy Policy, 2023 and Rajasthan Land Revenue Rules, 2007 were amended.
These amendments will pave the way for new investment of ₹ 2 lakh crore in the state.
Land Allotment Rules for Solar Power Projects
The land allotment rules for solar power projects were changed to allow land allotment at 7.5% of the DLC rate.
The allotment rules have been made relevant for proper use of solar radiation.
Now, 1 MW of solar energy can be generated on 2 hectares of land.
