DRDO Unveils Indigenous Light Tank 'Zoravar'

Prototype: The prototype of the indigenous light tank 'Zoravar' was unveiled by DRDO. It is yet to undergo extensive testing.

Development and Collaboration:

'Zoravar' has been jointly developed by DRDO and Larsen & Toubro in collaboration with micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Name Significance:

The tank is named after Dogra general Zorawar Singh, who led a military expedition to Kailash-Mansarovar in 1841.

Features of 'Zoravar':

• Weight: 25 tonnes
• Design: Specifically designed for operations in high altitude and insular areas.
