Hyderabad Becomes Full-fledged Capital of Telangana

Dissolution of Lok Sabha (Lower House)

Normal Dissolution (Article 83(2)): Lok Sabha dissolves automatically after 5 years from its first meeting.

Early Dissolution:

  • By President on PM's advice: This can happen due to various reasons like loss of confidence in the government.
  • By President: If the President feels no stable government can be formed after a resignation or fall of the previous government.

Rajya Sabha (Upper House):

Permanent House: Rajya Sabha is NOT subject to dissolution.
