Job Description

Novastar Prep is a trusted leader in personalized academic tutoring and test prep, serving students from K–12 through college admissions. With over 17 years of experience and a growing national presence, our expert tutors provide one-on-one support tailored to each student’s needs—from core academics to SAT/ACT prep and beyond.

About the Role
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education and the confidence to guide families through important academic decisions. You will play a key part in helping families understand their child’s academic needs and recommending tutoring programs that align with those goals. Your communication and relationship-building skills are critical.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new leads for K-12 academic tutoring and SAT/ACT test prep

  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and emails to prospective customers.

  • Cultivate and convert warm leads pipeline to sales. No cold calls. 

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine the best tutoring and test prep solutions for individual students.

  • Effectively communicate the value of our services and overcome objections to close sales

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

  • Collaborate with the tutoring team to ensure seamless delivery of services to students

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in education or related field

  • Strong understanding of K–12 education systems, learning challenges, and enrichment opportunities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset

  • Ability to manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and emails in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Passion for education and helping students succeed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CRM software, and other sales tools

  • Ability to work remotely and manage own schedule effectively

Work Environment & Schedule
This is a full-time, remote position with a flexible schedule. You'll work from home, engaging with families via phone, email, and video conferencing. While the role involves extended screen time, we prioritize the health and well-being of our team and encourage smart work habits. We are also committed to maintaining a high standard of engagement—this position requires full-time availability and active contribution.

Salary and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary plus commission.
  • $50,000 annual base salary

  • Commission and performance incentives-  Top performers typically earn $75,000–$80,000 annually, with no cap on commission.
