Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Manager to deliver civil engineering projects for aviation clients, including airside and landside operations. The successful candidate will manage project planning, scope, schedule, budget, risk management, team coordination, quality assurance, and stakeholder communications. You will oversee multi-discipline teams and sub-consultants to deliver projects in line with client expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage aviation civil engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Develop project-specific plans, including Project Management and Quality Management Plans.

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and sub-consultants.

  • Oversee project progress and risk mitigation.

  • Prepare progress reports, review invoices, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

  • Lead project presentations and status meetings.

  • Assist with marketing processes, proposal development, and client interviews.

  • Guide technical teams to ensure quality outcomes.

  • Mentor team members, providing coaching and performance feedback.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License with the ability to obtain registration in relevant states within 3 months of employment.

  • 10+ years of experience managing multi-discipline civil engineering project teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAPM or PMP certification.

  • Experience with airside airport civil infrastructure design (runways, taxiways, RSA improvements) following FAA guidelines.

  • Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3).
