Overview:
Poppy’s Therapeutic Corner is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Intake Specialist to join our community-based mental health team! This position plays a key role in supporting assessments and treatment plans , ensuring timely and accurate intakes for individuals and families seeking services.
Licensed interns are welcome to apply—this is a great opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial clinical assessments and gather detailed intake information from clients
Develop and assist with individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinical best practices
Ensure all documentation complies with Ohio regulations and organizational policies
Support clients and families through the intake and treatment planning process, addressing questions and concerns
Provide services via in-person or telehealth platforms for increased accessibility
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical, culturally responsive standards
Offer mentorship and supervision to licensed interns, promoting professional development
Participate in training and professional development to stay current with mental health practices

Qualifications:
Active Ohio License (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW) or enrollment in a counseling/social work internship program
Experience working with community-based mental health clients , particularly in intake, assessment, or treatment planning
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Comfort with EHR systems and telehealth technology is a plus
