Job Description

SUMMARY

Therapeutic Court Program (TCP)/Mental Health Alternatives Program (MAP) Liaison provides education, referral and coordination activities for the City of Everett, City of Marysville’s, and/or Tulalip Tribes (MAP/TCP) programs. The liaison will work directly with MAP/TCP participants in referring for behavioral health treatment and other needed services. The liaison will provide assistance to the participants in applying for Medicaid and other benefit programs. The liaison will act as a conduit of information between the MAP/TCP teams, identified participants, and service providers, and will provide education and consultation to the MAP/TCP teams. 

Position: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00/ hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Understands and practices safekeeping of participants’ protected health information per Bridgeways’ HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance record and adhere to scheduling requirements based on business and clients’ needs.
  • Documents care in electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with agency, contractual and state guidelines. 
  • The MAP/TCP Liaison will work directly with the MAP/TCP participants to link them to available resources including but not limited to medical treatment, behavioral health services, substance use disorders (SUD) treatment, food assistance, housing, education, and employment services. 
  • Works in partnership with the participant, the jail, the Court, the Prosecuting Attorney, the Defense Attorney and a wide range of professionals and community-based service providers in an effort to minimize the participant’s’ involvement with the criminal justice system.
  • Attends court hearings and presents information related to the participant’s treatment, including any recommendations to the Court.
  • Participates in meetings and case conferences with treatment professionals, community service providers and court personnel to discuss participant progress and develop and update the goal plan as needed. Provides group social and education services to participants. 
  • Attends and participates in the MAP/TCP workgroup meetings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field from a nationally accredited school.
  • Strong understanding of available community resources, strong screening skills.
  • Experience working with a court team, judge, and/or legal counsel preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must have both excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Successful in organizing, prioritizing, and problem-solving. 
  • Be flexible to intervene on a moment’s notice and have proven ability to problem solve and seek assistance from appropriate community agencies as necessary.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License
  • Able to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselors Credential. 
  • Requirement to pass Background check in accordance with Customer Guidelines and Requirements. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
