Freight Payment Coordinator

Irving, TX (75039) | Onsite

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Accounting knowledge
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of freight audit or contract compliance practices
  • Familiarity with chargeback and exception management procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting)
  • Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

 

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

  • $17/hr
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9AM–5PM
  • Possible Temporary-to-Hire, W2

ROLE IMPACT

  • Plays a key role in managing accurate and timely freight invoicing processes
  • Ensures contractual compliance, supports audit accuracy, and prevents financial discrepancies that can affect operational flow and vendor relations

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Audit and process freight invoices to ensure alignment with service contracts and planned shipments.

• Reconcile variances using TMS and contract rate validation; issue chargebacks when routing violations occur.

• Conduct monthly receivable reconciliations with carriers and AP; escalate unresolved payments.

• Analyze exception reports and recommend system/reporting enhancements.

• Contribute to audit documentation and participate in special projects.

• Microsoft Excel

• ERP or invoice matching platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)

• Email and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Slack)
