KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: + General understanding or knowledge of: Heavy equipment operations, Fall protection and other safety equipment, Hand and power tools, Rigging Spill control measures & Use of existing procedures and guidelines. + Self-starter who is willing to accept feedback and guidance from mentors or peers in shop. + Collect, document and fulfill critical checklists. + Maintain safe and compliant equipment in accordance with all Marathon governing documents. + Repair, maintain, troubleshoot and analyze fixed equipment pertaining to the facility, while providing leadership, training, and guidance to others. + Cutting, drilling, grinding, threading, installing piping/tubing and assisting with preventative maintenance assignments and other duties as assigned. + Work as a team member with operations and other crafts at the refinery. + Responsible for coaching and mentoring of co-workers while keeping a positive attitude and workplace. + Maintain and submit documentation for accurate record keeping of equipment repairs. + Maintain proper housekeeping in the shop, crane, trucks and at jobsite. + Strive for Zero reworks due to workmanship or avoidable material issues. + Be an active part of a culture that promotes ethical practices and legal compliance, encourages customer service, individual integrity, safety, teamwork, employee innovation and accountability. + Strive to be proficient with SAP. + Must be willing to climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces while wearing full face or supplied air respirator. + Must be willing to champion any assigned jobs/duties. + Obtain and keep current NCCCO rigger certification as required. + Keep all computer-based training up to date and complete all assigned ECT modules. + Positively engage in morning toolbox and safety meetings. + Keep non-work-related cell phone and other distractions to a minimum. + Position requires lifting of up to 50 lbs or more and working at elevations. + The hours of the position are 4/10's with occasional overtime, callouts and TAR support every three years. + Participate in call outs and able to work nights, weekends, holidays and work over as needed to support the refinery. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE + High school diploma or equivalent is required. + 3-5 years of construction or oil and gas experience or equivalent is preferred. + A valid driver's license is required. Starting pay range for this role is $31.98 - $39.25 per hour and is determined based on review of experience and qualifications.
