Senior Property Accountant - Marina Del Rey, CA

A leading commercial real estate firm in the heart of Marina Del Rey is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their Accounting team. This is an excellent role for a Property Accountant or Senior Property Accountant with a strong commercial property accounting background looking to take their career to the next level with a leading commercial real estate firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Play key role in coordinating the month-end closing process, and ensuring the timely delivery of accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare annual CAM reconciliations for tenants ensuring accurate allocation of expenses based on individual lease terms.
• Lead the annual budget preparation process for assigned properties, including operating expenses and capital expenditures.
• Support corporate accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, intercompany account reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger accounts
• Prepare tax return packages by compiling and organizing financial data and coordinating with external CPA firms to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
• Ensure accurate reporting of revenue, expense, and balance sheet according to GAAP and IFRS standards..
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to include the review of account reconciliations and analysis.
• Prepare and/or review property, investment, and corporate level financial statements, including variance explanations.
• Monitor operating cash flows and cash balances.
• Prepare and analysis of the monthly and quarterly investor reports including analysis and narratives.
• Assist with recurring projects, such as quarterly reporting, internal/external audit, investor and lender Q&A, etc..

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3+ years of Property Accounting Experience
• Strong Excel background
• Yardi or MRI experience a plus
