Key Points:

• The Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) for organic products between India and Taiwan came into force from July 8, 2024. 
• This is the first bilateral agreement that will promote trade in organic products.

• Under the MRA, organic products certified under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) can be sold in Taiwan with the “India Organic” logo.
• This agreement will help in increasing agricultural and food trade between the two countries.
