Nirman Portal:

Launched By: Shri G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines

Objective: To support meritorious youth from coal-bearing districts who clear the UPSC preliminary exams.

Financial Assistance: Rs. 1,00,000 for candidates meeting the following criteria:

  • Qualified UPSC preliminary exam.
  • Annual family income less than Rs. 8 lakhs.
  • Belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, female, or third gender.

Operational Districts:

  • Dhanbad, Ranchi, Kolkata, Bilaspur, Nagpur, among others.

Application Process:

Entirely online through a dedicated portal for transparency.

Implemented By: Coal India Limited, under the Ministry of Coal.

CSR Initiative: Aligns with "Mission Karmayogi" and supports PM Modi's Digital India vision.

Mission Karmayogi:

Launch Date: 2nd September 2020

Objective: To strengthen citizen-centric governance in India through a robust digital ecosystem.
