- Overall score: 71 (up from 66 in 2020-21, 57 in 2018).
- Top states: Uttarakhand, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa.
- Lagging states: Bihar, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Meghalaya.
- Significant improvement in Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 1 (Poverty Eradication).
Union Territories:
- Leading UTs: Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Puducherry.
- Lagging UTs: Ladakh, Lakshadweep.
Front Runner Category:
- 32 States/UTs scored 65-99 (up from 22 in 2020-21).
- New entrants: Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, etc.
SDG India Index Details:
- Tracks progress on 113 indicators aligned with MoSPI’s National Indicator Framework.

- Notable advancements in housing, sanitation, renewable energy (solar power), and digital infrastructure (97% reduction in internet data costs).
Key Achievements:
- PMAY: 4 crore houses built.
- Sanitation: 11 crore toilets, 2.23 lakh sanitation complexes.
- Energy: Solar capacity grew from 2.82 GW to 73.32 GW.
- Digital: Significant cost reduction in internet data.

- PM Ujjwala Yojana: 10 crore LPG connections.
