Constitutional Provisions
- Article 153: One Governor per State; can be Governor for multiple States (added by the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act, 1956).
- Article 155: Appointed by the President.
- Article 156: Holds office at the President’s pleasure. Normal term: Five years. Can resign by writing to the President.
