National Health Mission (NHM)
NHM: Funding to state governments to revive the rural and urban health sector.
Component: National Rural Health Mission, National Urban Health Mission, Tertiary Care Program, Human Resources for Health and Medical Education.
Objective: Dealing with infectious and non-infectious diseases and improving infrastructure.
Integration: Integration of departments of health and family welfare at national and state levels.
Result: Increased allocations to the health sector and coordination in programme implementation.
