• Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh)
• Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh)

Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) Scheme

Launched by: Civil Aviation Ministry

Launch Date: October 21, 2016

Objective: Enhance regional air connectivity from unserved and underserved airports across India, making air travel affordable for the masses.

National Mission on Edible Oils - Oilseeds (NMEO-Oilseeds) Approval

Duration: 2024-25 to 2030-31 (7 years)

Objective: Promote domestic oilseed production and achieve self-reliance in edible oils (Atmanirbhar Bharat).

Focus Areas:

• Increase production of major oilseed crops (e.g., rapeseed-mustard, peanuts, soybeans, sunflower, sesame).
• Enhance collection and extraction efficiency from secondary sources (e.g., cottonseed, rice husk, tree-based oils).

Extra:

India is the fourth-largest oilseeds producer in the world, behind the USA, China, and Brazil.
