Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) Scheme

Overview

• Type: Central Sector Scheme for Post-Harvest Management.
• Launch: 2020, for debt financing of post-harvest infrastructure (FY2020–FY2032).
• Objective: Support infrastructure for post-harvest management and community farming assets.

Key Features

• Interest Subvention: 3% per annum for loans up to ₹2 crore (7 years max).
• Project Limit: Up to 25 projects, ₹2 crore each.
• Borrower Contribution: Minimum 10% of project cost.
• Moratorium: 6 months to 2 years.
• Credit Guarantee: Available under CGTMSE for loans up to ₹2 crore.

Priority

• SC/ST Entrepreneurs: 24% of grants for SC/ST.
• Women/Weaker Sections: Priority lending.
