  • Vidyanjali Scholarship: Aids Navodaya Vidyalaya students for higher education.
  • Focus: Access to quality education for economically disadvantaged students.
  • Funding: Non-government sources like CSR grants, donors.
  • Initial Beneficiaries: Grade XI and XII students from Navodaya Vidyalayas.
  • What is EdCIL?

    • EdCIL is the sole PSU under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
    • Established in 1981 and categorized as 'Mini Ratna'.

Cabinet approves "Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PM-MKSSY)"

  • Date: 8th February 2024.
  • Funding: Rs. 6,000 crore, with 50% from public finance (including World Bank and AFD) and 50% from beneficiaries/private sector.
  • Implementation Period: 4 years, from FY 2023-24 to FY 2026-27 across all States and UTs.
  • Beneficiaries: Fishers, farmers, workers, vendors, and related enterprises, including micro and small enterprises, FFPOs, and other identified beneficiaries.
