  • Eligibility: For Indian resident girls below 10 years old.

  • Maturity: 21 years (interest ceases after 21 years).

    • Partial Withdrawal: Up to 50% for education after 18 years or passing 10th standard.

• New Rules:

• • Guardian Changes: Guardianship transfer required for accounts opened by grandparents.
  • Irregular Accounts: Excess accounts will be closed.

• Launched: 2006

Devnarayan Chhatra Scooty Scheme

• Benefits: Free scooty and financial assistance for higher education.
• Eligibility:
  • Girls from specific backward classes in Rajasthan.
  • 12th class passed (Rajasthan or CBSE board)
• Scooty allocation has been increased from 20,000 to 30,000 annually.
