Objective: Provide free electricity to 1 crore households in India.

- Outlay: Rs 75,021 crore, implemented until FY 2026-27.
Eligibility:
- Indian citizen with a suitable house roof.
- Valid electricity connection.
- No previous solar panel subsidy availed.
Role of DISCOMs:
- Designated as State Implementation Agencies.
- Facilitate net meter availability, inspection, and commissioning.
- Receive incentives for additional rooftop solar capacity installations.
Incentives Outlay:
Rs 4,950 crore allocated for incentives to DISCOMs for additional rooftop solar capacity installations.
