Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY) About: Social security scheme for Small and Marginal Farmers (landholding up to 2 hectares). Eligibility: All landholding Small and Marginal Farmers. Current Status (August 2024): 23.38 lakh farmers enrolled. Leading states: Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, Chhattisgarh, Odisha.

Key Benefits: Monthly Contributions: Rs 55 to Rs 200 based on age. Govt Contribution: Equal to farmer’s contribution. Pension: Rs 3,000/month at 60 years. Family Pension: Rs 1,500/month to spouse. PM-KISAN: Can be used for pension contribution. Exiting: Before 60: Refund of contribution + interest. Post-death: Spouse receives Rs 1,500/month. Management: Managed by LIC; registration via CSCs and State Governments.
