Overview:
Initiative: Launched by the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).
Aim: Rank cities based on air quality and implementation of National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) activities.
Objectives:
- Create awareness about air pollution and its health impacts.
- Compare air quality conditions across cities.
- Achieve the goal of NCAP: "Clean air for all."
Assessment:
130 cities covered under NCAP are assessed based on information submitted on the PRANA portal.

Category-1 (Population over 10 Lakhs):
1. Surat
2. Jabalpur
3. Agra
Category-2 (Population between 3 and 10 Lakhs):
1. Firozabad
2. Amravati
3. Jhansi
Category-3 (Population under 3 Lakhs):
1. Raebareli
2. Nalgonda
3. Nalagarh
